COVID-19 Update: Level 3 Restriction
At VIP Dental Clinic Miranda, we are doing everything possible to keep our services running and also in a safe manner.
We are taking advice from the Australian Dental Association (ADA) who are working closely with the NSW State and Federal Governments.
Our infection control efforts to keep the dentists, staff and patients safe include spacing appointments to minimise the chance of having patients waiting together in the waiting room. We also request patients to stay in their car in the car park until we call them in for their appointment.
The Australian Dental Association has passed level 3 restrictions across all dental practices in Australia. This means that we are now no longer performing non-urgent dental treatments.
However, we are open for emergency patients.
What is considered a dental emergency you may be asking? Please call us or read this blog for more information. When is it a dental emergency?

Please keep yourself and your family safe by following the instructions of social distancing and other instructions given by the regulators so we all can help to beat this crisis.
From the oral health point of view, please continue taking care of your oral hygiene by following these steps:
Brushing twice a day using a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride-containing toothpaste. https://youtu.be/jWqoQmYH864
Using dental floss once a day. This helps dislodge food particles stuck between your teeth and under the gumline. https://youtu.be/P5NIh1zOrTY
If done correctly, this will be the best way for you to avoid a dental emergency.
While staying at home, here are the things you can do to help stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19):
- Always wash your hands thoroughly with clean soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
- Clean surfaces that get touched a lot, including doorknobs, light switches, toys, remote controls, sink handles, counters, and phones.
- Maintain a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals.
- Sleep for at least 8 hours a day and exercise daily. Doing so boosts your immune system, fighting sickness.
It can get pretty lonely and boring for some people. There are many alternatives to meeting up like talking on the phone or video calling, texting, playing online and board games.
